A sales catalogue is a feature that is available to HerdPlus users through their ICBF account. The page has recently been updated with the addition of a drop down menu to allow farmers to choose between the dairy and beef animals in their herd as well as new filtering buttons to enable farmers to select groups of animals to display in the catalogue.

Herd owners can log into their ICBF account and create a sales catalogue prior to selling animals.

Information that is displayed for both Pedigree and Commercial dairy animals include their EBI, their date of birth, their sire, the dam’s sire if known, their breed percentage, milk recording information for the dam, the most recent serve recorded and the expected calving date.

For Pedigree and Commercial beef animals, the catalogue will display the name and address of the owner, the animals date of birth, the number of calvings, their breed percentage, the sire and the dam’s sire, the replacement index (stars across the breed), carcass weight, milk kgs, calving interval (in days), expected calving date and the expected sire of the calf

To create a catalogue:

  1. Log into ICBF and go to Applications
  2. From the dropdown menu, select sales catalogue
  3. Select the animals for sale and press continue once happy with the selection of animals
  4. There is an option available to generate either a dairy or beef catalogue. Each one allows for both Pedigree or Commercial animals
  5. Once the report has been generated, it can be downloaded as a PDF and saved for printing if required.
