We received the above photo from Brian Campion of Knockiel Limousins back in November 2016. The calf is by Ewdenvale Ivor LM2014 who is a Gene Ireland graduate. The calf is Knockiel Laszlo pictured at 2 days old. He was born with a slight assistance at calving and a gestation length of 296 days. He had a birthweight of 47kg which was about 10kg lighter that the herds average for a bull calf. The dam is a 7 year old cow by GUB with a replacement index of €131.
Fast forward to March 2018 and Laszlo is pictured below at the Limousin Society sale in Roscrea were he made €3250. This is an excellent example of Gene Ireland progeny performing on farm and in pedigree herds.
